Match Your Vibe
Client: For a school assignment, I had to create an advertisement for Razer, a well-known gaming equipment company.
Goal: An aspect that Razer doesn’t emphasize too much in their displays is the extraordinary customization their products offer. This feature is known as “Razer Chroma,” so I aimed to make a campaign that showcased precisely that.
Approach: I added the main slogan, “Match Your Vibe,” in the trademark font of Razer products in the middle of the main image. Then, to make the frame, I reassembled my keyboard to spell out the slogan and programmed each word to light up a different color. Then I simply took a picture using my phone and changed the colors before taking another one. For the corners, I took the words out of the Chroma icon, leaving me with a spectrum wheel to fill the space perfectly. For the next two images, I programmed my keyboard to match a game's promo art/title screen. I picked Fortnite and Apex Legends for this. Then, I took a photo of my computer, getting the picture and the screen in view. Then, I covered everything that wasn’t on the screen and the mat my keyboard sits on. To fill the space, I used the content-aware fill option in Photoshop to create a gradient based on the light my screen let off. Finally, I added the slogan on the top in the trademark Razer font and color and the Chroma logo in the bottom right.
Result: This concept of a marketing plan emphasizes Razer as a viable choice for the audience who doesn’t care so much about precise functionality but rather the ability to customize as they please.
