Cooper’s Cookies
Client: This was a class assignment made for a fictional business owner of a cookie store. Their name is ambiguous.
Goal: The “store owner” wanted a sleek yet modern interactive website to showcase their variety of whimsical desserts for interested customers and for customers to shop online.
Approach: Using Figma, I designed a color scheme that uses opposite shades to really pop out the contrast without making it hard to interpret. I added a dynamic framing of the “about” text for the home page. Directing the viewer toward the passage about all-natural ingredients is a good selling point. For the menu page, I used AI image generation to create models of cookies to fit the insane selection of options this bakery has. I used standard checkout formatting and a small AI-generated picture of a clipart oven for the checkout and confirmation pages. It adds a nice touch of comfort for any viewers.
Result: This design gave the shop owner a crisp, bright, yet not too contrasting branding. It also showcases a couple of Wonka-esque desserts for the viewer, presented with captions that intrigue and poke fun at the things they show.
While developing through Figma, I was also tasked to make the website interactable to the best of my ability. This would require working buttons, animations, and a newsletter popup upon entering the page. As such, I’ve included the working prototypes of the website in both desktop and mobile form for your curiosity.
