Stream Screens
Client: A friend with a gaming-focused Twitch channel.
Goal: My friend needed me to assemble some waiting screens for their Twitch channel based on the game he was currently playing. These would include versions made before the stream starts, when it ends, and when he needed to leave for a second.
Approach: I would use the title/logo of the game as a reference for the text. I would find the font that most closely resembles the game’s title/logo and make any modifications needed to match the source as much as possible. Then, I would arrange each of the messages to fit the screen most comfortably. Then, I would add the social media tags at the bottom. For the backdrop, I would need to find a point in the game that gives me a good backdrop. Once I find it, I take a video of it and put it into editing software. I overlay the message text and social tags and add a fade transition to loop the background footage so it doesn’t look choppy. Then I render the mp4 file and send it off.
Result: An aesthetically pleasing set of stream tools that emphasize the game being played and make everything look more neatly put together in general.
